We sincerely wish all the ghouls and goblins out there a safe and Happy Halloween. To make sure everyone has the best of time tonight, remember to:
Carry and use a flashlight if you are a trick or treater.
Travel in groups to improve visibility.
Where something light colored on the outer part of your costume if you have to walk on the road.
Walk against traffic so drivers can see you better.
Walk, don’t run when you are in the road.
Take your mask off between houses so you don’t trip and fall.
Look both ways before crossing the street.
Make sure if you are crossing the street and a car is coming, the car comes to a complete stop and waves you across before you cross the street.
For those out and about driving this evening:
Reduce your speed to 15MPH or less when driving on residential streets tonight. We recommend even slower if you are driving on a street with no street lights.
Be alert for trick or treaters crossing the street.
Maintain your full time and attention on the road (leave your radio and all devices turned off, and your windows rolled down.
We hope everyone has a good time this evening and we don’t have to meet by accident. We’ll have candy available at the firehouse. Don’t forget to stop by. |
