There are currently two construction buoys in the Bay off of Chesapeake Beach. It is very possible for even sharp-eyed observers to mistake the object for a boat or a person in distress. We are aware of the objects and know that they are not distressed craft or a danger to marine traffic.

We appreciate the concern and believe that citizen action saves lives. Please take a moment to identify these buoys to better separate them from real emergencies.
