At 1639 hours on March 6, Boat 1 was requested to the 710 box (St. Leonard’s area) for a reported brush fire in Scientists Cliffs on the water. Boat 1 used its master streams to extinguish hot spots on the cliffs that land based crews could not reach. The fire boat remained on scene for about 30 minutes and returned to service.
Boat 1’s response area is from the Solomons Bridge to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. It is an important asset to the safety of the citizens in and along the Chesapeake Bay.
