Last night (2/23) Area Box 106 was dispatched for the house on fire in the 2600 block of Richfield Lane. Engine 11, Engine 12, Tower 1, PA219, & Safety 1 from Company 1 responded, along with units from Calvert Companies 5 and 6, Anne Arundel Companies 42 and 9, and Prince George’s Company 20. Lieutenant 1 arrived on scene with a two-story single-family dwelling on a basement with smoke showing and started the working fire dispatch (WFD). Engine 12 arrived, took their own hydrant and stretched an attack line to the 2nd floor to extinguish fire in the attic.

Tower 1 arrived as the first truck and split crews. The outside team threw ladders and assisted with coordinated ventilation while the inside team opened up for Engine 12 on the 2nd floor. Safety 1 was assigned safety for the fireground. Chief 5B held the Richfield Lane command.
