At 0203 on 7/7/2024, Co. 1 units were dispatched to Area Box 507, for a report of an attached garage on fire in the 3400 block of Old Jones Road in Co. 5’s area (Dunkirk). Co. 5 and Co. 6 units were already engaged in fire operations at a two-story, single-family residence with a fully involved garage fire that had extended into the main house.

Engine 11 and Tower 1 deployed additional attack lines and opened walls per Command (Chief 5). Chief 1A performed safety officer functions. Crews remained on scene with Co. 5, 6, 2, 7, Anne Arundel 42 and 9, and Prince George’s 20 for over three hours.

All occupants were out of the house upon Co. 5’s arrival and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
