Wednesday, June 5, 2024, was a bittersweet day at the firehouse. Shortly before the company meeting, members gathered at the memorial for the annual remembrance of EMS Captain Pat Osburn. Captain Osburn died in the line of duty six years ago.

The membership then proceeded indoors where the company paid tribute to its late president and reliable response member Matthew “Mad Dog” Weber. President Weber died unexpectedly in April of 2023.

One of President Weber’s favorite duties was driving Tower 1. As a tribute to that commitment, the company dedicated Tower 1 to Matt.

While deeply missed, the community and members of the North Beach VFD were truly fortunate to have enjoyed the camaraderie and decades of service these two public servants provided.
