Progress continues on the restoration of our 1947 International John Bean pumper. A visit this weekend to Body and Paint Technician Mike Torres’ shop revealed the truck’s look is coming along very well. Most of the body has been primed with metal straightening next.

We are expecting word from Tech 1 Auto any day now on the motor and transmission assessment.

In addition, Gary Cahill, owner of Rescue Market, completed the restoration of a Carpenter warning light that was originally on the truck.

And finally, all metal originally chrome or nickel plated was sorted and photos sent to a plating company outside of Harrisburg (PA) for an estimate.
