On 4/23/2023, at 2300 hours, Co. 1, Co. 6, Calvert County Paramedic Ambulance 219, and the North Duty Chief were dispatched for a motor vehicle collision (serious) on Bayside Road between Beach Drive and Locust Grove Road.

Co. 1 arrived to find a single vehicle collision with a Priority 1 patient. The patient was rapidly extricated by the crew from Squad 1, treated by PA219, and flown to a trauma center by Maryland State Police Trooper 2. Landing site coverage was provided by Huntingtown Co. 6.

A collision reconstruction unit from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
